SwaTaHa, SWAtantra TAntramsha Haba, a free software fest is being conducted by FSMK in association with IS & CSE Dept of PES Mandya through PES Mandya GLUG on April 13th-15th,2013. More info here, http://swataha.fsmk.org

It contains many sessions and events for students who are beginners to free software. During Swataha, we have also planned a hackathon specially for active members of FSMK. There is no restriction on the idea of hackathon as long as it is associated with free software. The idea behind this hackathon is to get all the active students of FSMK under one roof and then create an environment where the students concentrate on hacking something useful during the three days. Almost all the members of FSMK, working in various companies and also other developers from free software community will be present to help and mentor students during the three days.

A complete free software technology hackathon had been planned many times but we were never able to execute it. SwaTaHa provides this great opportunity for us to finally implement the plan for hackathon.  Hence I would request students to actively participate in the hackathon.

To kickstart the hackathon, following ideas have been listed. Please feel free to add your own ideas to this list or mention your name to show interest for already existing ideas.

Registration fees:

Rs. 500/- (including Accomodation for three days along with breakfast and dinner)

(SwaTaHa is mainly being sponsorted by registration money. Hence we have decided to keep the registrations for Hackathon also.)
